The hot weather warning is on pretty much from 8am to 6pm every day in Hong Kong during summer. It is natural that many people prefer a well-chilled white wine than a room temperature full bodied red at this time of year.
Il Botolo Chardonnay DOC is perfect on a hot summer day. It has been my best pool buddy. Il Botolo Chardonnay displays all the beautiful characteristics of a Chardonnay from a cool region like Piedmont in Northern Italy. It offers plenty of citrus, lime and green apple with refreshing acidity. It is best served between 8-10 degrees.
While serving temperature is very important for wine drinkers, it is also very important to keep our wines in optimal quality condition. All of our wines and sakes are kept in a temperature and humidity-controlled warehouse.
Japanese sake is particularly sensitive to light and as such is also kept in low light conditions in addition to the temperature and humidity controlled environment.
Thank you for visiting our website. We would like to take the opportunity to introduce il Botolo winery as the first winery we are working with.
il Botolo winery is a beautiful boutique winery situated in the Monferrato, in the heart of Piedmont in Northern Italy. It is home to the very famous Barolo and Barbaresco made by Nebbiolo grapes. However, Barbera is another grape variety in the region that is often overlooked but many Barbera wines deserve the spotlight.
il Botolo winery has many award-winning wines. Their quality Barberas have won awards such as The Decanter World Wine Awards and International Wine Challenge. We are happy to bring their wines into Hong Kong. With high demand, some varieties sold out soon after we received them in Hong Kong.
We still have the following wines available in Hong Kong:
Chardonnay DOC 2018 is perfect for many occasions especially in the summer. This beauty showcases awesome Chardonnay’s varietal characters. It is a great expression of a Chardonnay from a cooler region and shows more elegance when compared to some Chardonnays produced in warmer wine regions.
